Keep the party going with a silent disco

Wineries, estates, hotels, offices and neighborhoods all have sound rules — and many venues need the loudspeakers down just as the party peaks. A silent disco keeps the dance floor going.

A silent disco is one way to keep dancing: guests put on wireless headphones, Bryce mixes live, and the music goes straight to their ears instead of across the property. Everyone hears it clearly, the neighbors don’t, and people can slip the headphones off to talk without shouting.

Every venue writes its own rules. Silent disco often makes a later finish possible, but Bryce won’t promise a curfew workaround your venue hasn’t agreed to — check with them, then tell him what they allow.

When a silent disco is the right call

Corporate and team events

Team mixers, holiday parties and multi-room venues where conversation and dancing share the same space.

Private parties

Birthdays, backyard parties and celebrations at home — a full dance floor without the volume leaving the property.

Mixed-taste crowds

One group wants Motown, another wants hip-hop, another wants Latin. Three channels, three choices — guests pick their own.

Weddings

The reception can carry on after the loudspeakers have to come down — where your venue allows it.

Planning considerations

What Bryce needs to plan it

  • Your venue’s sound rules and finish time — confirmed with the venue
  • Guest count, so the headphone setup matches your crowd
  • When the silent portion starts (after a normal reception, or the whole night)
  • Power and space for the DJ setup, indoors or out
  • The music you want across channels — Bryce builds it with you like any other set

Headphone quantities, channels and staffing depend on your event; Bryce confirms exactly what’s included when he replies to your inquiry.

Also included with every event

  • Custom playlists built from your must-plays and do-not-plays
  • Wireless mics for announcements and speeches — or a wedding ceremony
  • Smooth, “less is more” MC style
  • You work directly with Bryce from first call to last song

Common questions

What is a silent disco?

Guests wear wireless headphones and the music is sent straight to them instead of through loudspeakers. Bryce still DJs live; the room just looks quieter than it feels.

Will it get around my venue’s sound curfew?

Often it helps — that is the main reason couples book it — but every venue sets its own rules. Confirm with your venue, and tell Bryce what they allow so the plan fits.

Can guests choose their own music?

Yes — the headphones carry three channels, so guests flip between three styles all night: 3 channels, 3 choices, one party. Tell Bryce what mix you want and he’ll confirm what your setup includes.

Is silent disco only for weddings?

No. It works for corporate mixers, team events, private parties and multi-room venues — and for weddings, too.

Great job!! Lively and fun. That’s the kind of DJ that you want. Thanks for your great work at my fundraising event.

— Fundraising event client

Not too much on the mic and just enough to help coordinate the night — exactly what we wanted! But that is the great thing about him, he is incredibly intuitive and responsive to what YOU want! I highly, highly recommend using Bryce for your next wedding or event!
